I think I also am less delusional and more practical myself. Although age has given me the confidence now to more likely “put my hand up” for some project I would likely have stayed quiet about in my younger years. (Part of that is the “Oh f*ck it” mentality that has come to me with age. At least relatively speaking…😉)
In any case, thanks for the musings — and happy holiday season to you and yours.
I for sure have the 'f it' moments in my history where I took on projects or work lol some because I knew I had the support to make it possible, others because I knew it was needed to grow, or heck, pay the bills. But they often were not related to longer term goals, or a personal passion. It was just a cool/interesting/beneficial growth experience. And one could argue, that some of those moments were actually more linked to being practical. (If I take on this project it will help me get a raise. If I take on this client it will make me more financially stable). Where I am not great at 'raising my hand' is when the idea is not linked to an expected outcome for bigger stake ideas. Let's just say, I have ideas... and then I chicken out haha
Really interesting thoughts, and well put too.

This really struck a cord, thanks for exploring these thoughts, Ula.
